General Terms and Conditions (GTC) - Waldi & Wind 1. Scope of Application These GTC apply to all bookings and stays in the "Waldi & Wind" apartment in Gisselberg/Marburg. 2. Contract Conclusion and Booking 2.1 The rental agreement is concluded upon booking confirmation. 2.2 Bookings are binding. 2.3 By booking, the guest acknowledges these GTC. 3. Prices and Payment 3.1 All prices include statutory VAT. 3.2 Payment is made according to the conditions specified in the booking confirmation. 3.3 For bookings via third-party platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com), their payment terms apply. 4. Check-in and Check-out 4.1 Check-in: from 3:00 PM | Check-out: until 10:00 AM 4.2 Deviating times possible by arrangement. 4.3 Keys are handed over according to instructions. 5. Liability Insurance (IMPORTANT!) 5.1 Every guest requires valid private liability insurance. 5.2 Proof of liability insurance can be requested if needed. 5.3 Liability insurance must cover damages in rented accommodations. 5.4 Without valid liability insurance, access to the apartment may be denied. 6. Cancellation Conditions 6.1 The cancellation conditions of the respective booking platform apply. 6.2 For direct bookings: Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival, then 50% of the total amount. 7. Guest Obligations 7.1 The apartment must be treated with care. 7.2 Housekeeping must be observed. 7.3 SMOKING BAN: Smoking is strictly prohibited in the entire apartment. In case of violation of the smoking ban, a penalty fee of at least 500 Euros will be charged (costs for special cleaning, odor removal). 7.4 BALCONY BAN: Accessing the balcony without railings is strictly prohibited for safety reasons. Violations occur at own risk and result in immediate termination. 7.5 Pets are generally not permitted. Small dogs (up to 10 kg) are only allowed after prior consultation and explicit approval. 7.6 ADULTS ONLY: This apartment is exclusively suitable for adults and teenagers aged 16 and over. It is a quiet apartment in an occupied house, tailored to the needs of adults and business travelers. 7.7 Maximum occupancy must not be exceeded. 7.8 Parties and events are prohibited. 7.9 Maximum occupancy must be observed (according to booking confirmation). 7.10 Please report damages or problems immediately. 7.11 Please leave keys according to departure instructions. 8. Liability 8.1 The landlord is not liable for items brought by guests. 8.2 The guest is liable for all damages caused during their stay. 8.3 Damages must be reported immediately. 8.4 In case of violation of the balcony ban, the guest is fully liable for all resulting damages and consequences. 9. Caution 9.1 A deposit may be charged if needed. 9.2 Refund after inspection of the apartment. 9.3 Penalty fees (e.g. for smoking) are withheld from the deposit. 10. Termination and House Ban 10.1 In case of violations of house rules, the landlord may terminate the contract without notice. 10.2 In this case, there is no entitlement to refund. 10.3 Serious violations (smoking, accessing unsafe balcony) result in immediate termination. 11. Special Notice 11.1 The property is camera-monitored (outdoor area to protect property). 11.2 The kitchen will be installed at the end of January 2026. 11.3 The balcony currently has no railings and must NOT be accessed for safety reasons. 12. Data Protection Separate data protection regulations apply. 13. Final Provisions 13.1 German law applies. 13.2 Place of jurisdiction is Marburg. 13.3 Should individual provisions be ineffective, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
